Ladies’ Charm Bracelet

Our HopeWear is adorned with our signature “dancing star” logo. The “Dancing Star” represents the “Dancing Diva” doll that Lanie gave to me upon celebrating her abstinence from gambling. On the back she wrote these words, which are etched in my heart and mind forever.

“My soul was born in 1955. My spirit found life in 2001. Thank you for your loving guidance and encouragement as I continue to dance

Lanie danced in the joy of recovery for a time…and then, sadly, she let her guard down against the disease of compulsive gambling. My sister Lanie died at the age of 52 due to an overdose of antidepressants, taken to numb the pain and shame that so often overwhelm the compulsive gambler.
