Recovery Changed My Life

I am 15 years without a bet, and they have been the best 15 years of my life. I have found direction and purpose, structure and clarity. Confusion and aimlessness has become focus and drive. I have begun to achieve the potential held dormant through years of gambling.
The clear-headedness has enabled me to achieve beyond my wildest expectations. John Lennon said: How can I go forward when I don’t know which way I’m facing”? Recovery has allowed me to find that pathway. I have begun lifetime work on my character defects. I have become happily married, for years gambling was my mistress. I have changed careers, from law to counseling. I have developed spirituality and a sense of values. I live my life in a serenity laced tranquil moment, one day at a time.
Recovery works, it can change your life. Gambling can be treated and we can lead productive lives.
