Lanie danced in the joy of recovery for a time…and then, sadly, she let her guard down against the disease of compulsive gambling. My sister Lanie died at the age of 52 due to an overdose of antidepressants, taken to numb the pain and shame that so often overwhelm the compulsive gambler.
